Financial Planning Association™ of MA former Chair Daniel J. Galli, CFP® named the 2017 FPA™ MA Financial Planner of the Year

Norwell AND Westborough, MA, ISSUED May 20, 2017…Financial Planning Association™ of Massachusetts (FPA™ MA) has selected Daniel J. Galli as the 2017 recipient of the Financial Planner of the Year Award.

Galli is the Principal of Daniel J. Galli and Associates in Norwell, MA. This award honors Dan for his outstanding contributions to the financial planning profession in Massachusetts.

For 31 years, Dan has devoted his career to providing financial planning and retirement planning for professionals, small business owners, teachers and other individuals.

Through his commitment to helping people connect their money with their lives, he has navigated clients to stay on track to reach  important goals in their lives such as educating their children and grandchildren, successfully retiring, and leaving a legacy to their loved ones,”  said John McAvoy, CFP®, Chair of the FPA™ MA. “Dan is committed to our organization’s mission in promoting financial literacy, education and the very highest standards for our industry.”

Dan is a long time instructor in financial planning programs at Northeastern University and currently in Boston University’s nationally recognized financial planning certificate program.

In addition to his individual client work, Dan travels nationally providing financial education for employees of large companies like, PepsiCo, MathWorks, Northern Trust, Akamai, Forrester Research, Dunkin Brands and the Archdiocese of Boston.  He is often quoted by on-line financial media and has been featured in the past as part of the Boston Herald Money Makeover series and the Boston Globe on-line Money Chats. He is a frequent speaker helping people prepare for and navigate retirement.

Dan has served as President, Chairman and Director of Community Outreach for the Financial Planning Association of New England.  He has also served on many committees in the financial services profession.
